Roland Foster has a Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying, a Master’s Degree in Construction Law & Arbitration from Kings College London, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Chartered Builder. He is also a member of the Society of Construction Law, The Academy of Experts, and the Kings College Construction Law Association.
Roland Foster has over 30 years’ experience in construction working on various projects in building, energy, transportation and has undertaken numerous disputes which have involved, Mediation, Adjudication, and Arbitration. He has also acted as an Expert on quantum issues and undertaken expert witness work under the Civil Procedure Rules in litigation. He has also been appointed as a single joint expert. Most of the work undertaken is final account / dispute related acting for employers, contractors and sub-contractors. The disputes vary in value between £50,000.00 and £3.5m
The dispute work includes claims for delay, loss and expense, acceleration, and repudiation.
Finally, Roland is a contributor to the ISURV web site of the RICS where he writes on JCT Contracts and Construction Claims. He has also written articles for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators on Mediation and is an interviewer for Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration.
